After taking our friend to three vets in Bristol tn for a skin rash,after steroid shots and pills,we found shy valley.....one look and an in house test led to a change in dog food(blue),.one week later she was resting and looking much better...visit was $35.00 at least half of what everyone else charged. He has been our vet ever since
Dr. Shivell... knowledgeable, compassionate, willing to work with you in your endeavors. Has made several house calls to my home for my dogs, my cats, my goats. A more willing man I have never met. A more compassionate one I have never known. Helped me make those tough decisions, let me be present with my friends when the time came that they and earth should separate. Stood beside me when there was nothing left in me. Only words I have to say to him is, "thank you for being there".
We have been using Dr. Shivell for the past 17 years and he has treated 2 cats and 6 dogs over those past 17 years. He has made house calls for us and has comforted us in our times of despair. He and Kerri are the most caring, professional two people we have been blessed to know. We trust them with our fur babies so much that we drive 30 minutes to get to the office and wouldn't think of taking our babies anywhere else! Thanks for all you have done and still do for us!
I have been going to this animal clinic and vet for at least 15 -20 years and my family has been using Dr. Shivell for approximately 25-30 years. They have always taken good care of my animals and treat them like the family members that they are to me. They are very knowledgeable, professional and willing to help. They are very easy to schedule appointments with. I would highly recommend Shy Valley Animal Clinic to anyone without hesitation.
Awesome vet - the best. We have been taking our dogs here for years and they get the best care. And, I really appreciate that the staff is honest with us when we have had problems/sickness with our dogs - they inform of us what is going on and what our options are. We have never felt pressured to do something we didn't think was right or that we could not afford. I have taken my dogs to Dr. Shivell for years - and will take them there as long as we have animals and he is still practicing.
